Both of these two hospitals are top-ranking in China. Complete medical departments, solid technological strength, advanced diagnostic equipment and rich clinical experience make them China’s standardized clinical teaching base, as well as the diagnostic and therapeutic center in central China. The Union Affiliated Hospital was built in 1866 as the large comprehensive hospital directly under the MOH. It is of level A Grade III with 4,600 beds. And Tongji Hospital was set by the German Doctor Bolon in 1900 in Shanghai. Now it has 2,500 beds, of Level A and Grade III.

The tuition fee for the internship year is RMB 40,000 per year. And, students have to take the final examination on Theory Test and Clinical Evaluation before graduation.
